This roadtrip trip is all about spending time in my new jeep, seeing friends and sponsors, and whatever else comes up before I leave for Australia for the next 5 months. It has been awhile since I did a massive drive, so what the hell , about 16 days in total. I have all kinds of fun things to do, good tunes, and a pimpin new ride.

All day I have been so excited, bouncing off the walls. It is not everyday you win a brand new car from riding your bike. This is like a dream, been driving around with a big ol smile.
Well most of the 2007 schedule is out. I am really excited to go to slovenia and switzerland this year. It is more fun to go to new places, i think. As far as norbas, I am not sure that I will be going to any of them at this point, mountain states cups might be the next best thing. Either way there are plenty of races to go to with the World cups, Jeep series, special festivals, and the whole series in Australia.

I just found out Dale Holmes has given up BMX and is now planning on racing 4x full time for KHS in 07. Should be exciting having another wiley vetran racer out there to snap everyone. daleholmes.com

My brother was asked by ride magazine to write a story about the scene up here in the NW for BMX. They are a different breed for sure, and don't want anyone comming here to mess up their jumps. They are about keeping it underground. I helped him write it a little bit, but this will be his first article published. Pretty cool... look for it in about a month.
I was at the bookstore and came across this little beauty in Velonews- a full page ad from GT for winning worlds!!. That kind of stuff is so appreciated, thanks guys.
Went to the jeep dealership for a test drive the other day. I am so pumped on the jeep compass I am about to get. The thing is sweet. Al kinds of cool features and looks pimpin. So stoked. A jeep that gets almost 30 miles to the gallon, first of it's kind. I am waiting for the jeep guys to finish my lease so I can drive down to cali for a little roadtrip before I head over to oz for the winter.
Had my first visit to the Taco bus the other day. There are a couple of them around town and they are the cheapest most delicious authentic mexican tacos around. No overhead, can travel. hehe, seating inside or out. dollar tacos, just like you find in mexico. This one is off Rainer avenue in the shady part of town, but well worth the mission. I highly reccomend it. We went straight there after a twelve mile hike in the rain. Perfect. :)
When we were in New Zealand for worlds this past August, the event was broadcast on NZ TV a few times a day. I took some ghetto videos off of the tv. The quality is pretty crap, and I missed a lot of it, nevermind the commentary either, I was watching it for the first time with lopes. It is better than nothing, enjoy:) Gotta have quicktime to view. I will try to put it in the order it ran. Lopes' crash is in here too. My battery died right before finals, so I am pissed that I only got the start of my final, but you know the story after that anyway. Cya

My first ever road bike has arrived:) Damn, those things are squirrely. Rim brakes, tiny rims. I can not believe pro guys climb mountains and charge turns the way they do, insane. The best part about using a road bike is that you can haul ass and go lots faster, whic is always good. One of the biggest companies in the Bike world, Specialized, just dropped their gravity race program. That means Anneke Beerten, and Chris Powell are out of jobs. I do not know the whole story behind this decision, but I do know that they are planning on keeping their XC crew of Kaleen and Sauser, and the freeriders.
It has been getting colder and colder around Seattle, a reminder that summer is over. What better to do on a cold night than to sail off into the sunset and have a party.
Pretty much the whole cast of Building the Underground (my brother's dirt jump video) including my brother, plus Pee wee Lee, archibald, Hunnington, Doug, Dain, bryn, dennis beare, my cousin julie, myself, and a bunch of locals showed up for the memorial bmx race today.
Since my Dad ran the local bmx track for years when I was a kid, the folks that run the show now at North Sea-Tac BMX are holding a memorial race in his honor. It is this sunday the 8th, free entry fees, sign ups from 1:30- 2:30. We will be there riding, selling old parts, and race pants, etc. After sorting through all of my old bmx gear at dad's house, he did not throw a single thing out, so there are all kinds of goodies. I had some left over footage from the world cup finals and my trip to Red Bull...Womens 4x finals Fionn (red) ended up winning this race. Kovarik was top qualifier. Kovarik Qualifier
Bryn and I have been playing a lot of golf lately to unwind. He is just leaning so I thought a video recording might help him with his form:) Also since I just learned how to post up video stuff, this is good practice for me too.

This was the first time I missed the bike show in about 4 or 5 years. I am not a Vegas person, so it was nice to stay home. The cool thing about the show is saying thank you to sponsors, socializing with friends, and seeing cool art. Lame part is when it is contract year, luckily I am GT again for next year and don't have to worry.
Harrison, my homie from Seattle and the designer for MacNeil, among other things, went and took pictures. defgrip.com. This one is my favorite. It is from We the People- BMX brand. Cardboard splendor. Creativity and craftmanship, two very good things :)
