New web Launch for Pacific Brands... Gtbicycles.com, Mongoose.com, Schwinnbike.com
Off to Louisville, Kentucky tomorrow for another BMX points round. I know what you're thinking, banjoes and missing teeth, but Louisville is nice. NBL grands is there every year, the last time I was there was 2002 when I won a National Pro title, bit has changed since then, wish me luck. Different scene than the Swiss Alps:)

How's this for a schedule... Everyone was racing in China on Tuesday, flew cross the Pacific Wednesday, home half of wed, flew to the east coast Thursday, drove 2 hrs north of Syracuse across the border, practiced Friday, raced Saturday, drove back across border, 4am wake up call Sunday, then flew home. With weather delays and jetlag, we all were grumpy and tired, not too stoked to be here, which was too bad cause the people here in Kingston were so happy to see us. Don't think there has ever been an big UCI race at this track before, so the little kids were pumped to see some of their heroes for the first time:)
It is so exhausting being outside, 91degrees and the humidity is worse than florida. Lot of people showed up for this event, 42 women, 80+ men, and the stands were already full, oversold apparently for tomorrow. They use a time trial format to sort out the contenders. The cut was 16 for women and 32 for men, that means well over half of the people who came all the way here don't get to race. Best of two laps though....
Saw the olympic track today. Looks real fun, trailboss' delight. The surface was a bit spongy and rough cause of the rain. Pro section for the men looks really really difficult, the berm jump at the end of the second straight is a big risk with no room for error, not even a way to roll through. Anyway, probably will ride a bit different than we think. First roll in is huge, wish I had my mtn bike:) Luke Madill was out there measuring with a walking measuring wheel, smart:) Have a look at the cliff drop on the edges of the first straight. c ya. vid
The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the mid-Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. Basically home to all the Emperors from 1420 till 1912, when China became the Republic of China under new rule. That movie "The Last Emperor" was filmed here. Now the Palace is called the Palace Museum. Oldest place I have ever seen...
I snipered most of these photos from online. If I were to take photos, it wouldn't do the buildings justice:) We went for a little street ride this morning and people were just sitting there watching us, staring for 20 min.
Arrived in Beijing after about 15hrs of travel, not too bad with an upgrade. It is hotter and muggier than I thought, but pretty interesting. Way more smog than LA. I am in convoy with the other American BMXers, disguised as golfers, and one dutch straggler- afro bob. The craziness just from the bus ride to our hotel was entertaining....
Off to China for a BMX supercross race. Packed as much food as I could into my bike case, not a fan of eating cats and stuff:) just kidding. Should be pretty cool, I have never been to Asia, and I guess Beijing has spent something rediculous like 14 million or billion dollars on their Olympic venue, to see it will be something unique. meow.
NEW ZEALAND. Story about Vanessa Quinn in the local New Zealand paper. She is an inspirational person to me, so she should be to all:).www.bayofplentytimes.co.nz

All the oldschool BMX dudes from the 70's will trip out when they see this evolution. Movies to see: Joe Kid on a Stingray, RAD, BMX Bandits.
Little video interview on redbull.com
Today was a big day out in the atlitude and heat, had to have been close to 90 degrees with the sun. Practice, seeding, and racing all in one afternoon.

First stop of the Jeep series is here in Park City, Utah. It is so nice to go to races that are only a couple hours away, feels like nothing these days. Anyway, the series is a bit later this year, all 3 events compressed into August. These are the best races in America to participate in, hands down.
