Worlds are here

FT.WILLIAM, SCOTLAND

Soooo happy to be here!!! Ft.Bill already has a good feel to it. The air is crisp, the weather misty, and bike riding soon to be had....

Our hotel is out in the boonies, about 40 min from the venue on this golf course and lake, bed and breakfast style with the best home cooked food ever, good exchange for no TV or internet. It is all about hanging out, having a cup of tea around the fire and enjoying the company, old school:).

...Anyway, been awhile since the MTB circuit has all been together, about a month, so things are good. Rachel Atherton, Peaty, Fabien Barel, they are all here back from their injuries, even Bryn is here, not racing, but supporting and watching :) So all the top riders are in attendance at least.

DH track is pretty much the same, little longer up top. Seems like they put most the money into spectating bridges, and holding areas. Cool part about world champs are the things that people do to make it special. New bikes, fresh gear, posters, etc. It is quite a marketed event, more prestigious than the world cups for sure. England has a lot of support in the mtb community. I would say it thrives the most here from what I can tell.

4x track is longer too. The first turn from last year is now the 4th turn. Up top the first turn has all these crazy lines, not sure which one is better. Some of the turns don't link up, and the passing kinda looks minimal, but whatever, looks pretty fast and there is some good stuff out there. At least the first straight has some length to it, so Im happy.

Rennie's bike looks cool. Peaty has some special Ft.William World CHamp gloves, Mike Redding from TLD has a nice hat , Scarlett is laughing , Prokop has a sweet ride , monk and I are living it up , Sven and Anka are rad, and the Aussie Jrs have some funky new hair-dos .

GOOD LUCK JILL!! GO USA!

hey jill,

good luck for the 4cross, hope you win. Remember though you are in Scotland, part of the United Kingdom, rather than England, (which is a part of the UK rather than an alternative name). Anyway good luck and I really hope you win,

James

Go, Jill. We wish we could be there to cheer you on. We'll be cheering from Seattle. Pictures are great. See you soon. Tom, Carolyn and Julie. Gooooo Jill!
