Jared Graves Interview

Jared Graves is an incredibly skilled and diverse bike rider. Hear how 2007 was for him, and his plans to make the Australian Olympic team in BMX while still racing some MTB in '08.....

media library

Damn,,, 2 days of my life spent on this media collection project. Every cover and every photo of nearly every magazine I have been in over the years, now digital. Bit hard to find "every" mag or promotional piece worldwide, so contributions would be very greatly accepted!!:). All riders should collect and digitize their magazine images. It is the best ammo you have towards getting sponsored and proving your worth.

The big 26

SEATTLE,WA

My brother and I have birthdays a day apart, so we went big with the crew. Mom was the craziest of all, as usual:) It was my little niece's first public outing, and she slept like a champ through the chaos. Another year down.

Stribbler interview

Luke Stobel is a name international Downhillers will soon know very well. Being from the rainy Northwest, Luke is perfectly suited to destroy the wet rooty tracks that World cup racing seems to deliver. As he gears up for travelling the international circut in '08, his focus enters a much bigger pond, and you can bet that his game will rise to the occasion. Finishing 20th at the 2007 World Champs, with a crash, there is much more speed ahead of young Luuuuke....

BOULDER CITY, NEVADA

Crashed and burned in the main today, as Pete D would say, "pulled a snowman-8". Glad the season is finally over!!..

iTunes

Been on a mission to find new music. There is this website called charitymix.com that has athlete play lists, etc. Cool idea, but not very big yet. If anyone knows the hot tip on finding good stuff, or sites like that, send a link. These are some of my favorite tunes.

Media Collection

What do you do at 4am when you can't sleep?? Take pictures of pictures. I have been putting off getting all my media stuff together for awhile, so here is the stack from the past 5years or so- making my sponsors proud. Most of the foreign mags kinda slip away, but what are ya gonna do. Updating the media gallery soon, this is a small sample:). Thanks to magazines and editors,, it's an honor to be a part of it :)

Roc d'Azur SX TT

Frejus, France

Supercross time trial today. It kinda sucks that we do most of our important riding late in the afternoon when the wind has shifted direction and blowing at full force, but what are ya gonna do.

BMX SX France

Frejus, France

Frenchys have it pretty sweet here on the southern coast line, lot like So.Cal scenery, but not at all like So.Cal. I'll be honest, track looks difficult, very deep jumps and rhythm sections. It'll be a good challenge for the girls. Dirt was loose and the ramp unfinished, so we will see how it rides tomorrow. Apparently the gate goes steep to flat to steep again. Weird.

St.Maxime, France

Nice, France

Got into Nice last night and went out to St.Maxime BMX track this morning. Tracks in France are more tech than at home, not too hard, but a lot of the backsides are all trailboss style, steep and tight. Practice on the Supercross track tomorrow. Inspection tonight.

For Tara

I feel like this is only a small thing I could do, but Maxine from Accesseco asked me to design a chapstick label for Tara's Road to Recovery fund. The idea is that they are going to have a fundraiser and sell these chapsticks, all proceeds go directly to Tara. Should be ready soon. www.accesseco.com

Dirt #68- The Worlds issue

Look what just came through the door:) Good thing too, cause I'm on my way out the door. Off to a BMX supercross round in Nice, France today as part of the Roc d' azur. No rest for the wicked, my elbow is still giving me issues, but I will give it my best shot. Another points race for Olympic qualifying.

memorial pump race

NORTH SEA-TAC, WASHINGTON

October 6th was the Peter Kintner Memorial Pump race at the SeaTac BMX track to Remember pops. Many years ago, he ran the track, so it is special that the people who run it now, still make his memory special. Awesome crew turned up. We had 11 or 12 Kintners watching, my brother's dirt jump crew from here and Oregon, couple racers like Pee Wee Lee and Scott Matual , Bubba Bond as M.C. , and others. It has been raining everyday here in Seattle, so we were lucky to get the puddles swept off and stay dry for the big event....

Tony Hawk Bikes??

Guess the Las Vegas bike show was the debut for Tony Hawk's new bmx bikes. It part of his Boom Boom Huck Jam series, to get kids on better entry level bikes that are still affordable. Maybe they should make some freeride bikes to capitalize on the "Huck" verb age? hehe. Found this info on Dynacraftbikes.com and Vitalbmx.com...

Some pictures courtesy of Pruitt .
