LA, CALIFORNIA
Red Bull's major league soccer team, the NY Red Bulls, were in town to play against David Beckham and the LA Galaxy, so I went with some homies to scope it out. Seen a football match in Spain before, but "soccer" in America is a more civil affair. Beckham's star power packed the stadium with Galaxy fans, so we were holding it down for the Bulls......
Cool Red Bull set up as always, little pre game tailgate party on a practice field at the home depot center in LA. Music, tacos, scarfs, tshirts, organized pep rally for the away team, smart thinking. Big group cruised over cheering on enemy turf. If we were in Europe, traveling as a pack would be the only safe way to avoid a beating:) maybe.
It was a good game, bulls scored somewhat early, then second half Galaxy knocked one in, and as the confetti was flying and crowd on their feet, the bulls took advantage and had a breakaway on the very next turnover. So they won 2-1
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were in attendance, the cheering squad threw out a "lets go Tom cruuuuise". star watch. I thought it was cooler that I was in the same suite as red bull athlete Robbie Madison, who did that new year's jump on his dirt bike 322 feet. And Jamie Sterling who is a red Bull Big wave surfer from Hawii. Not to mention Katie and Steve M******.F*&#^@%@ Bamel from the OTC:) and bunches of Red Bull folks, who I am happily getting to see a lot of these days. Good times.
