Mountain Bike World Champs!

Here we are, Val Di Sole, Italy. Venue for the 2008 World Champs...
Just got here last night, and I have to mention the fact, that as a racer, there is no other event that has the same vibe. As soon as you arrive, there is something about it, not sure if it's the anticipation of this mammoth event, or the fact that It's a once a year deal. What ever it is, I love it, and I'm sure other racers share the same thoughts.
There seems to be new grass covering the outside of the 4x , looks pretty. They must have had substantial rain fall since we were here last.
A brand new Chairlift for the race, this was still being built when we were here for the test event back in May.
Everyone is just now setting up. I swung by the Monster pits and saw 'The Bren Dog's' new ride, all polished silver with bits of the frame chopped out. Roumers are circulating the pits that Sam and Fabien are not riding with rear shocks to save weight this weekend.... It's true. (not really)
DH course inspection is right now, gotta pin it.
