Worlds- Practice Day 1
Man, 1st run down the track today was a little bit of a surprise. I left the pits about an hour into practice to let the majority of riders clean the track off. On my way to the lift, I saw The Big Rennie Dog, I asked how it was, He said Saddle up.. It's a wild ride... He was right.
Spikes are a must. A few of the Juniors are learning lessons.. Young Matt Vincent from Canberra, broke his hand today.. He did it walking up the track though, slipped... He is hoping to ride on Thursday, fingers crossed ay, he was riding well.
Poor old 'Dan the man' (Dan Atherton) has broken his collarbone, he's flying back to England to get it sewn up.. Bummed for him.
Stoked, My boy Cody 'Bargo' Eikenhoffner' from Australia, has made the trip out to Worlds, He is racing the 4x, I believe it's his first big International race, so that's exciting. He was up on the hill today watching DH practice, He had the Umbrella out, covering me from the rain on the side of the track, and cleaning my goggles.. Funny Little fella. ![]()
When I walked the track yesterday, I had an idea of where I wanted to go, but first run down, that all changed. The track was so rutted, way more roots exposed, I was pretty much just shredding the ruts the whole way down. It's going to be a whole different track come Race day (Saturday).
Peaty's B-day today too- happy Birthday.

Hey Bryn. That main man holding your umbrella has a new nickname. It's the C Dawg!!! Representing C- Town!!! Haha. Look from him to shred 4X with his awesome gates, slick skills and damaging drifts!!! He's my dark horse from Team Aust for the 4X. Good luck everyone representing Aust!!!
