World Champs Day 2
After all the rain yesterday, and with the sun coming out today, the track, is really greasy, with goopy mud in the middle section, so the roots are super slick, there were a lot of people eating shit. I had a few moments on the Fu#!@ng roots, those things are so hard to master, one min you are pinning it, next your front wheel has been persuaded to go another direction..
I'm pretty sure the track conditions will stay the same, it probably won't dry out. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, from what I have been told, so you just gotta deal.
Dave 'Bullhead' Wardel is back from his 'snapped in two' collarbone. He had laser surgery on it after Andorra 2 weeks ago... He is racing here, 4x only, but man what a speedy recovery. I guess Dan (Atherton) will be having the same surgery, to be back for St Anne in 4 weeks.
Matti Lehicoinen said he did a run today, he is choosing to sit the racing out this weekend, because he still can't peddle.
For those that missed the news, Matti lost his front wheel before a metal bridge in Scotland last week, 'cheese grating' his left knee. He should be right in a few weeks.
Cedric is racing 4x only this weekend, not sure why.
I gave my camera to Wardel today during DH practice, and he snapped off a few shots for me. Thanks Dave.
