Jill Kintner Olympic Dreams Scholarship Fund

SEA-TAC, WASHINGTON
I finally returned to the main track that began my BMX racing journey, "North Sea-Tac Bmx". Sea-Tac has been a part of our family's life for a long time, my brother started there, I started there, my dad operated the track years ago, and now they can claim the phrase "Where Olympic dreams are born". Pretty fun celebration day of riding, meeting kiddies, signing posters, and representing the N.W.. We have also started a "Jill Kintner Olympic Scholarship fund" to help support dreams for the next generation of BMX Olympians (more details soon). Thanks to everyone who came out to support the community:)..

Interbike finally OVER!!

LAS VEGAS, NV
Well after 3 grueling days of standing on our feet walking around and talking non stop, the trade show has come to an end. Bryn and I had tons of positive responses, and are really grateful for the relationships we have built within the industry over the years.

interbike

LAS VEGAS
First day at the bike show done. Had fun seeing homies again, checking out bike products, and looking for a new sponsor. Sponsor hunt is a draining endeavour but part of the job unfortunatly.

Highlight for sure was at the NORA Cup Bmx awards, where Bill Allen, the actor that played "Cru Jones" in my favorite movie Rad, was on stage presenting an award. I based my life on that movie, and run number 33 because of Cru, so I was beside myself. Then to top it off, "The Lumberjack" Gary Ellis, a champion Bmx racer in his time, was wasted and in good form to present Mikey Day with the racer of the year award!! Legends all over the place!!!

Gotta get back out there for meetings, pictures to come later, c ya, jill

west coast tripper

San Diego- Seattle

I'm sitting in traffic going a blistering 6 mph typing on my iPhone on the way home to Seattle finally. Mom and my bro were in china, but I still haven't been home to see the rest of the fam. Road trips are good for the soul, listen to music, collect thoughts, stop and visit friends, and ride to my hearts content out in the woods again:) I was sick with some non contagous foreign virus for nearly 2.5 weeks, so it's good to be back up to speed.

RED BULL FLUGTAG

CHICAGO,IL
The outrageous human-powered flying competition known as Red Bull Flugtag soared over the Windy City. This time, however, it headed to the salty waters of North Avenue Beach where nearly 40 teams of fearless fliers took to the skies. The Crustacean Avengers flew away with first place with a distance of 120 feet. Second place was grabbed by New Style Flyers, and third place went to Pie in the Sky!. People's Choice, which is determined by SMS voting, went to The USHE.

United Airlines

United Airlines sponsors the US olympic team, and also flew us out to Chicago for Oprah, so a group of 10 medalists, including myself, did appearances at United Headquarters and O'hare Airport. Taekwondo (Lopez Family), Fencing, boxing, 2 swimmers, indoor volleyball, water polo, and bmx were the sports represented. I have a special connection cause my mom used to work for United for 30+ years. One of the VP's even remembered her from Sea Tac:) Anyway, must have signed about 800 posters and taken a thousand photos, still smiling though. Few hrs for free flight tickets is always worth it:) Thanks UNITED!!

the oprah show

CHICAGO, IL
Taping of the Team USA Oprah show was this morning in Millennium park. We rolled out from the Hilton in 4 double decker busses while people on the streets cheered, waved, and took pictures the whole way. Could see from the top that the Line for tickets streatched almost a whole block!! Seats were sold out at the venue, plus they crammed in as many fans that could fit on the grass. Fans love Oprah to death, add Olympians and they go ballistic. Haven't heard this much screaming in awhile. Our entrance was organized by sport like a parade, confetti flying everywhere, high fives all around in the audience.....

OPRAH

CHICAGO, IL
Flew to Chicago today, Oprah Winfrey is having a show for Team America in Millennium Park. There are around 150 medalists on stage for her show, even the big name guys. Pretty wild to see everybody in real life and hear about this past weeks adventures. It's going to air Monday September 8th. Mike D, The Don, and I are sitting in the very back row with the equestrian lady, behind water polo, as filler :) Oprah came to the rehearsal tonight and shook everyone's hand, this production is very pro with logistics, stage hands, etc. They treat guests very well. We all will be sweating like crazy under those studio lights, smiling away, hoping Chicago gets the Olympic bid for 2016!!

Think I am even more excited to be a Judge at the Red Bull Flugtag event here in Chicago on saturday!!!!

Canberra, AUS- WC#6 BY BRYN

CANBERRA,AUS
How exciting, we Just had a World Cup in Australia, I know Stromlo isn't the most ideal mountain bike destination, but it was pretty good this weekend because of the atmosphere. It means a lot to me, as a pro racing outside Australia, to get to come home and show everyone what we do every weekend all over the world.
