OAkley JUPITER GLASSES
I cruised up to Oakley to see Blick the other day, and discovered my new favorite sunglasses. They are like the frogskins, but newskool and smaller. Named Jupiter- after the Roman god of light and sky.

WOMEN's Sports foundation event
NEW YORK, NY
Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been really preoccupied with rehab... Anyway, 12 Days post-op, I crutched my way through airports and flew to NYC to participate in a Women's Sports Foundation Charity Dinner. It was a Black tie event hosting 70 of the planet’s top female athletes and a few celebs which raised about $1.4 million that will be turned into grants and educational-related programming for girls/women in sports.

USA BMX Domination

Just saw results from the final round of the Supercross World Cup in france. USA killed it. My pal and roommate) Arielle took the overall title, which is incredible, I am really proud of her, and Donny, Herman, and Kyle Bennett took 1,2,3 in the men's series.

Weekly Knee update
6 days after my surgery, a knee cap is starting to emerge:) Rehab is my life. Day 7 I was on the stationary bike cruising, which made me very happy, Day 8 started walking without crutches:)

Chop shop
CHULA VISTA, CA
After 9 and a half months with a ruptured ACL (Anterior cruciate ligament) in my right knee, I finally had surgery today!! 10 years ago when I had ACL recon on my other knee, they used a graft from my hamstring, cause your own body tissue is stronger usually, but I opted for a cadaver allograft this time, and had a really successful surgery. Can already bend, put light weight on it, and am in a lot less pain. Healing time for this injury is around 4-6 months, but wearing a brace and continuing like I had been was not an option for me. I will be stronger when I return with the use of OTC facilities, hyperbaric, aggressive rehab, and hard work. Thanks Dr. Selecky, Bryn, Dan Dial, and Stephanie, for looking after me.

For anyone who has ever raced DH in the Northwest; Seattle, Portland, Hood, B.C. etc, Bart McDaniel is a name that everyone knows,,,he has been a top contender on the scene for decades!!!. At 44 years old, Bart is an amazing rider who just happened to win the overall title in Pro Downhill at the Fluidride Cup series this weekend!! Not many old guys that can rival his skills, but it's awesome to see. Bart has all kinds of enthusiasm and has definitely left his mark in the upper left corner of North America :).....
