Fontana City National - 4x report
FONTANA,CA
So I was trying to figure out what the title for this Fontana National race actually was: 2009 Fontana City National/Kenda Cup West/Rock Shox Golden State Downhill #1. You like that? ,,,I just showed up to race, dunno exactly either, but suppose is a race tied to a couple different series. Kenda Cup, is XC U.S. series, Golden state DH- california Downhill series, and Fontana National is, um... 4x , xc, HD, Super D and a kids race all in one??. Since Norba doesn't exist anymore, events have branched out. US gravity tour, Fluidride cups, and Mountain States cup are the US series that I am aware of for gravity mtb (DH, 4x, Slalom) racing in the US right now, and this was not a part of any of those. Confusing, blah... Anyway, today was a 4x US national, and tomorrow DH.

Fontucky winter series finals
FONTANA, CA
So I got all my SRAM components in the mail friday, rebuilt the loaner Intense hardtail- aka "little rippa", and drove up to Fontucky to test her out at the final round of the Fontana Winter series. This race was my first race since knee reconstruction, and she did what she was born to do, rip:) Intense bikes are a pleasure to ride, and I feel better than ever:) ..

Inside the Blackbox
just released the roster for the Blackbox program, and I have made the cut! Me and 13 other mountain bikers in the World!!. This is a big deal, as far as working with developing and proving new technologies within SRAM, RockShox, Avid, and Truvativ brands, but it is also very special to me as a rider. Blackbox is the link between the World Cup testing grounds, and production in some cases. We are going to take all 3.22lb or less of RockShox's Sid fork 
over some very large gaps, and through some very sweet turns:) braap.
