WC #5- Maribor
MARIBOR, SLOVENIA
We are past the mid point in the world cup, #5 of 8. Slovenia is a pretty cool stop, sounds like it would be the most foreign place we could possibly go, but it's fairly similar landscape to Austria or anywhere else in Europe. Buildings, language, and other cultural things seem pretty unique though, but the tracks are good....
Miserable heat today, spent most of the morning looking for a cool breeze. Think there might be a drastic change tomorrow, 90% sure there will be rain. Bring it, I love a good mudder:) Don't think the Downhillers are looking forward to it though. Their track has a lot of mangled cross roots, rocks, and high speed sections.
4x qualifying was tonight. Track is real mountain bike track, turns are loos and natural, some flat. Actually challenging and long. Pretty good turnout tonight, think there are 4 groups of women. There is a jump at the bottom that is of good scale, and most of the ladies did it, was cool to see. Jared Graves and I won Quali 
, onto the racing tomorrow. Sorry I don't have any pics.
