The South American Mototaxi Junket

My best pal April Smapril is going to South America in October to race mototaxies across the Andes for charity. Check this out, crazy...

SEEKING CO-PILOT
Due to a friends recent life events, I’m left flying solo for what could be the adventure of a lifetime…that is unless you or a crazy cool pal of yours is interested in joining me in the Mototaxi Junket.

What: The South American Mototaxi Junket - http://mototaxijunket.theadventurists.com/ - See the ‘Tell Me More’ link for details.
When: Departs Lima, Peru 10/24/09, Ends in Asuncion, Paraguay 11/7/09
Why: To have one hell of a good time and raise money for Operation Smile
Costs: Portion of the team fee ($550), Airfare (roughly $1,100-$1,300 with current fares), Spending cabbage for the adventure.
Other: Team Fundraising requirement is 1,000 lbs (about $1,500 USD)

Brief Summary of the Mototaxi junket: Take a 125cc motorcycle with a 2 seat rear-end on the route of your choosing from Lima, Peru over the Andes to Asuncion, Paraguay. There’s a kickoff party and a wrap-up party, but in between you’re on your own. The rickshaw rally across India is going on and you can check out the website for a taste of what’s in store for the junket http://rickshawrun.theadventurists.com/. Each team gets to choose their team name and gets a website complete with a blog to report from the field with.

Let me know if you’re interested or pass along to those who might be.

Cheers!
April
