Australian National Championships are going down this weekend in Adelaide, South Australia.
I was all amped to go, but both Bryn and I have been sick, so will have to wait till the next one. Last week Adelaide had temperatures in the 40's (Celsius around 109F) but it's all good now, little rain cooled it off. Most of Aussie's finest MTB riders should be in attendance, but since nobody wants to wear the National Champion Jersey at World Cups, it's kind of whatever. Dumb rule from the UCI with good intentions I suppose, But riders gotta represent the people that support them, not the federation jersey for free. Should be a sweet qualifier:) I'm there in spirit. Tour Down Under starts this sunday (Jan 17-24) as well in the same city; hi to Cadel Evans, Lance n all the other roadies. $10 says they have no idea about the MTB race....http://www.tourdownunder.com.au/
